On technology and information importance: The other day a friend and I were walking up the street, admittedly, each typing on our Androids.
Walking past us is an older woman who comments, “you kids today, never looking up from your machines”.
We were collecting friends for a basketball game on that Sunday morning. This is our church. I tell the lady, being moderately offended: “we are working on something imporant.”.
She apologized (perhaps thinking my grandmother had just died).
I made an old lady apologize and I felt guilty and satisfied at the same time.
That, and we’re 28 and 30 years old. We don’t need to be “kids” to be on handheld computers.
WE ARE ROBOTS.
Google got it right with the name Android from the get-go.
